There really is something amazing that happens when art and string come together via a crochet hook: traditions are honored, love and compassion are passed down to yet another generation, comfort is expressed, excitement is unleashed, and something amazing is produced just by rearranging the shape of the yarn. Crochet has been the one constant in my life - you know since friends change, locations change, family members pass on and new ones arrive, life is up and then life is down. Ever since I realized that crochet had been there to accompany me, comfort me, to celebrate me, and to challenge me, I have honored it more than ever. There is no way I could separate the craft from life as it has been growing side by side with me since I was a child.
