Making my Home a Happy Place • by Serena Thompson

I grew up simply, and with no television or electricity, so being creative was what I did for fun. I dabbled in the kitchen, baking pies and cakes from scratch, and foraged about the woods that surrounded us for pieces of nature that I could create with. This upbringing was a blessing for me because in the quiet of my childhood, I found what I loved. To create.

My style of art is anything that makes my home a happy place to be — baking, decorating, crafting, and repurposing everyday objects into something useful. My home is my art and my goal is to make it a place my family wants to be.
