Art Saves Story • by Rebecca Cooper
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child I would spend hours drawing, painting, and being creative any way that I could. I was always encouraged by my mom to pursue my interests in art. I've appreciated her supportive example through the years, especially now, as a mother myself, as I strive to encourage my own children’s love of art.Beauty in the Everyday
When I became a mother, my interests in art changed and the amount of time I had available to be creative was somewhat limited, but that need to create was still a part of me. It brings me added joy to be able to share my talents and interests in art with my children. From craft activities with the kids, decor projects to beautify our home, and artwork to help preserve family memories, I love being able to create and spend time with my children at the same time. Filling our days and surrounding ourselves with art, adds beauty to the seemingly ordinary, everyday moments.
Making Art. Making Memories.
As my life changes and the children grow, I know there'll be more time for future creative endeavors. For now, I strive to soak up every detail about this season in my life while my children are small and enjoy finding quiet moments to be creative in simple ways. Through photography, crafting, and creative projects with the kids, I am able to have fun making art while making memories with my children.
