The Circle of Life
After a full day's work yesterday, I had great fun getting fancied up to accompany Gerardo to the annual gala dinner event called Zoofari, to support our local zoo.
In addition to enjoying all the festivities, the biggest thrill for me was viewing the Giant Anteaters (one female and one male) in the zoo's brand new exhibit that was recently completed to house these furry critters. They are beautiful.
You may remember my sharing you a while back as we worked really hard with so many community leaders in raising the funds needed to build this exhibit. It was no easy feat. But the thing is ... good things rarely get done without tremendous effort. But time and time again, I do know that with determination and focus, mountains can be moved.
PS ... rumor has it that the female anteater is
pregnant! So fun. Let's hope that the baby anteater arrives in good
health as this breeding pair becomes a family. The circle of life. Stay tuned ...
How wonderful to see this journey's fruition! They
are such unique, awe inspiring creations. You and
hubby look so glam; I love your dress! It looks like an amazing event, evening!

Sounds like a wonderful evening - well done on your achievements. There is certainly nothing like people working together to achieve what they have set out to achieve.

Yes, a beautiful couple indeed! That is wonderful you were able to give them a comfortable, safe habitat. I can't wait to see the baby(babies)anteaters.
