Free Motion Stitched Art Quilt Tutorial :: Button Flowers
Check out my latest art quilt. So cute, don't you think?
It all started as I was puttering around with some of my favorite things ...
I decided to use the buttons to create flowers onto a layer of muslin, batting, muslin. I also crocheted hemp into a little flower to add to the mix.
Once the buttons were secure, I took it to my sewing machine to free motion quilt circles around the buttons, along with stems and leaves. Feed dogs down, assorted colors of threads, and clarity of thought as I moved the layers around.
Next, I added a piece of lace at the bottom and stitched all the sides together. Then I took a strip of white fabric and attached it to the bottom, anchoring it periodically with a makeshift couching stitch.

This is what I'm doing today- LOVE it!

Muito lindo, limpo e claro. Suave como um dia com nevoeiro. Um jardim de delicadezas. Parabéns amiga
