Coffee-Dyed Doilies Tutorial
I'm a coffee drinker. And every day, I always have about half an inch left in the pot. Rather than throwing that away, I try my best to dye something with it. Dyeing just a little every day with leftover coffee is a great way to build up your stash of coffee-dyed items. My latest dyed subjects: doilies.
Doilies in their original state of stark white is also nice but sometimes, I want them not so stark.
So into a shallow bath of leftover coffee they go. Just a few minutes.
Then onto a cookie-cooling rack they sit in my kitchen to dry out.
I love just looking at the final results ... all packed with potential for use in an upcoming project.

excellent technique, simple & uncomplicated AND with the added bonus of lines for journaling!!! thank you much for sharing ;)

I love to do this too...but I'm a tea drinker. Works just the same. Lovely doilies!

I love the lines too. I usually lay my items to dry on a recycled paper grocery bag which doesn't produce any lines...thanks to your tip I'll now have another option.
