Karma Sweet Karma
Check out my latest collage I made. Sweet, right?
I've been incorporating little typed papers into lots of things lately, inspired by an artist I'm working with on a very cool project that will come out later in 2012. Her use of typed words inspired me to buy a typewriter from ebay. I've been typing up a storm. It opens up so many new possibilities with journal work and collage work.
The recent events that inspired this piece is about karma.
It's that thing you hope will come around ... as you patiently wait for the same bad habits to play out as it has so many times in the past. It's something that you can't warn anyone about because no one will believe you. You just have to wait for the heinous behaviors to rear its ugly head ... because the sad truth about the wretched is that they never learn. And when past victims smile at the arrival of karma, the wretched whine that anyone dare smile. They wonder why their pillow is so rock hard, and why the valium no longer works, as they spin tales that get more and more tangled, and they cling onto quotes they don't understand, like "I would rather learn from one bird how to sing than to teach 10,000 stars how not to dance." They surround themselves with the next batch of unknowing stars and birds who eventually get fried to a crisp. It's hell on earth. But here's what I've learned:
The best ornament is Humility.
The richest wealth is Wisdom.
The strongest weapon is Patience.
The best security is Faith.
The best tonic is Laughter.
Bravo to the stars and birds who, after preparing for the sail, have escaped or are planning their escape ... as they find their own path, and learn that thankfully, there is goodness and kindness and peace on this earth to be found. Thank God.
Trust me on this: Everything will be OK.
Onward and upward.
:)

God bless you Jenny, you are so smart, such a blessing and wealth of knowledge to me and others.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your post. Karma is inevitable.
Ms Karma always finds my address and knocks loudly, almost with immediate force, while Ms Karma seems to take somewhat longer to find others.......
She always gets to her destination........eventuly.
I will always cherish your words to me back when I met you at Stampington....
"Patience is the strongest weapon, Deb".......you said with kindness and vigor.
I too believe that the truth ALWAYS shows itself, in Ms Karma's own time.
I learn my own lessons slowly, almost always the hard way, I am far too sensitive, far to trusting and far too emotional. I am also honest, kind and vulnerable.
But slowly, day by day, year by year, I grow a tad bit taller, stronger, mature a wee bit more......
Your thoughts and creative approach is appreciated more than you know. You touch lives.
Thank you.

And that's why I believe in DSD (Do Something Different).
But it took a while :)
I pass on the lessons I've learned, but they go unheard.
This is one of my all-time favorite posts. Thank you.

Wow - I don't know how I stumbled on this site & post today, of all days, but I can tell you it's POETIC!! I'm going to borrow it, art it, and gift it to my neice ... who was patient and silent while karma found her way to an evit soul trying to crush her spirit. Thank you a hundred times over for the wise words -- and how to use them best!!!
