Bloom True Intuitive Painting with Flora Bowley :: Part 2

From blank to beautiful is the road that each of our canvases traveled as everyone continued working on Day 2 of Bloom True Intuitive Painting.

Before getting started, each person reflected on her intent, and transformed what might be a worry or weakness into affirming statements of strength and power.

As I observed the second day unfold, I realized how intent is everything. Because the energy of our intent I think gets translated onto the canvas. As Flora reminded ... if we want our paintings to be free, we need to be free.

And sometimes, to embrace the kind of freedom we seek on the canvas, we need to be bold and be open to taking risks and making choices that push us outside of our comfort zone.

Flora Bowley
Here is Flora's piece that was coming together on the second day. And as we students expressed how precious the face looked to us, she took that as an opportunity to cover it with a slab of paint. The room gasped. How could she get rid of that perfect face? But you know what? it emerged again. But even better. That was a lesson about being bold and letting go that I'll never soon forget.

What an interesting and inspiring class! I especially like the idea behind the paintings - of basing them on a personal intent. I want to try this here at home. Thanks, Jenny.
