Voices :: Day 29
Voices :: Day 29
(After a L O N G break)
Funny thing happened to me from August 9th of last year to August 18th of this year.
Do you remember I had been doing a special project called Voices ... where I was documenting all the people with whom I was having voice-to-voice contact for 30 non-consecutive days? I had started this project on July 4th of 2011 and gone all the way to August 9th of 2011, completing my 28th day.
And then in all my studio mess, I had lost the journal! So last week, as I was doing a major purge of all the crap in my studio, I found the little old Voices journal at the bottom of one of my huge piles.
So I thought the best thing to do was to pick right back up and finish the final two non-consecutive installments that show the actual people with whom I have voice-to-voice contact. This page documents yesterday. I started with my kickboxing class led by Corey. There's a song he plays during class that I've become quite obsessed with. Turn Me Up by Benassi Bros. Whenever I hear it, I find myself getting into my fighter's stance. (It's a good thing.)
Last night, The Mister, Monica, Andrew and I drove to San Diego to attend The Mister's best friend's (Tuan) wedding reception. It was at a Chinese restaurant where we started with shark fin soup, followed by a whole fish, roasted duck, and about 10 other courses that I can't remember. Still recovering from the meal.
Well, this journal won't be the one that documents what happened from August 9, 2011 to yesterday. Oh well. That's life. Sometimes, life just happens and doesn't get documented in the way we plan.
I'll finish up Voices today and then likely think of a new topic to document. Maybe what I eat, or what I drink or maybe people with whom I text ... not sure yet. But I do love this wire-bound kraft colored journal so much. Will keep you posted.

Please tell...where did you get that journal? I've been looking for one like that.
Thanks!
