I've been wondering about life's complications and ironies ... some that we create without intent, some that we do.

All of this wondering led me to create this doodle ... one that must have been inspired by the table that I was sitting at recently ... a table that reminds me of lots of things including poker ... with almost clubs, almost spades, diamonds for sure, but no hearts.

The shapes of the table cast shadows on me that afternoon. When I was sitting there, I wanted to take a pen out and doodle the marks they were making on my leg. But I didn't. Instead, I doodled right then and there on paper ... and also on paper when I got home. Happy to find a heart on both.
