Allison Gibbs's days are filled with lots and lots of things ... like baby sitting grandchildren, working from home, and all the other demands that she juggles as wife, mother and grandmother. To keep her grounded, she focuses on creating with fabric, threads, and embellishments. Items that can quickly come out or be put away, depending on the speed of life. And even if it's just a few minutes of creativity, it's what makes her heart sing.

In the depths of darkness, there was an angel of mercy who gave Robin Laws the tools and the opportunity to find a way out. These tools included large sheets of black construction paper, scissors, scotch tape, and pencils. These tools, these gifts, are what Robin seeks to pass onto others ... to help release the spirit of hope.

I have always had a mad love affair with flowers. I wander through our garden, basket in hand, plucking small gems. Then I see this ... and I am all a dither ... a window framed with flowers ... be still my heart!

I have always embraced the idea of collecting. Something to gather, something to create with ... the process alone is quite creative if you want it to be. I love this blog. It inspires me to collect some more.

I am a big believer in being true to yourself. This is from a post I created this year, lovely to inspire you or something to pass onto a friend.

Kristina Oppegard shares some intense moments in her life when the word DONE stared at her with shocking intensity. As she shares with complete vulnerability, the resounding message we learn from her story is that even in the most shocking moments of life, we can react with hope, fortitude, and humanity. Spice jars, or tea containers ... simple things you have or can find ... isn't it nice to know that bright happy things really do come in small packages?
