Wax Paper Flowers

{Featuring Stitches & Dots Stamps}
Stamp circle with words onto canvas fabric with black ink. Cut around each circle and then lightly apply a coat of acrylic paint, and on top of this apply a coat of glitter glue and let dry.
Cut strips of deli or wax paper about 1 1/4-inch wide and 8-inches long (you'll need roughly four strips per flower). Sew the short ends of the strip together (slightly overlap the ends) to form one long strip that will be about 30 inches long. Then zigzag stitch along the entire 30-inch length. It's easier to do this with one long strip, which is why I combined them all
Cut the strips into 3-inch pieces. Stack and fan the pieces to form a flower shape. Use a needle and thread to stitch the center of the flower to keep the pieces in place. Use pinking shears to randomly add interest to the flower petal ends.
Hand tear leaf shapes out of natural-colored parchment paper and outline the edges with a black marker. For texture, gently crumple the leaves. Sew the leaves to the bottom of the flower.
Place the stamped and painted circle on top of the flower at the center, and use embroidery needle and thread to add decorative stitching details. Sew the embellished circle to the center of the flower. For overall texture, use your hands to gently scrunch the flower petals and leaves some more.

Oh, these are so lovely! I'm going to give this a go! I love the stamped centers !!
