Free Motion Quilting Tutorial :: Stamped & Water-Colored Ornaments
Stamped & Water-Colored Ornaments by Jenny Doh
{Featuring Little Miss Mason Stamps}
Layer with batting and backing fabric and free motion quilt, changing top thread color for lid, jar, and label. (An alternative to free motion quilting is to hand embroider using embroidery thread and hand needle.) Cut stitched portion out.
Apply a bit of color with watercolor pencil onto a wet paintbrush and apply the color onto the stitched piece.
TIP: If at any time too much color goes on, just add more water to the stitched piece to dilute the color.
Use a pin to poke holes at either side of the lid portion and attach a wire.
Use the ornaments to adorn bottles, holiday tree, doorknobs, or gift packages.

I love them!!!! For the free motion quilting on any machine you should either be able to drop the feed dogs or use a darning foot and your ready to go.
