Soar Bird on Clothespin: Stamp square frame image onto a piece of blue scrapbook paper with Distress Ink Pad (Vintage Photo) and hand tear around the image. Type “soar” onto a piece of canvas fabric (the canvas fabric that I used is from an image transfer kit found in the office supply department) and use scissors to cut around the word. Cut a bird image (my image was previously transferred onto canvas fabric using gel medium.) Apply glitter glue over the bird’s chest area and let dry.
Cut a piece of organic cotton batting to accommodate the stamped frame image. Use a glue stick to adhere the elements together. And then add machine sewn details under the word, “soar” as well as a hand stitched “x” with an embroidery needle and red string. To display the piece, clip a clothespin to the bottom and place it into a mini glass jar.
"X" Birdhouse on Clothespin: Stamp rectangular frame image onto paper with Distress Ink Pad (Vintage Photo) and use scissors to cut around the image (I cut off part of the stamped frame for a more interesting looking edge.) Stamp heart image onto blue scrapbook paper with Distress Ink Pad (Vintage Photo) and use scissors to cut out the heart shape. Cut out a bird image (my image was previously transferred onto canvas fabric using gel medium.) Apply glitter glue to the bird image and let dry. Cut an “X” from a magazine page. Use a glue stick to adhere the elements together. Then use a sewing needle and silver thread to add an “x” detail. Use craft glue to adhere a button to the stamped heart and let dry. To display the piece, wrap ribbon around a clothespin and clip it to the bottom. Then place the clothespin into a mini glass jar. Fill the jar part way with buttons.
