Decoupage wooden beads with sheet music and mod podge. Allow to dry. Use a sharp object to poke through the paper and open up the holes.

Here are the steps to creating the basic square knot.

Left to Right

Row 1:
A. Divide four cords so that there is a a single left cord, single right cord, and two cords for the center.
B. Right cord goes over the center cords, then under the left cord

Row 2:
A. Left cord goes under the center cords, then up through the hole and over the right cord.
B. Right cord goes uncer the center cords, then over the left cord

Row 3:
A. Left cord goes over the right cord and down through the hole.
B. Draw the cords taut to complete the first square knot

Use a combination of multiple square knots and variations on the squre knot, and periodically slipping the decoupaged beads in through the two center cords. To create the twisted knot, repeat the first half of the square knot (Row 1: B) over and over, to create a twisted motif.

To create wings, create a series of squre knots and then create another square knot slightly below the first set and then push the taut knot up to crate the wings.

Attach a nice vintage piece of bling to one end, and tie the ends together. Use the lanyard and a key clip to keep keys safely (and stylishly) on your neck.

This is gorgeous! Thanks!

I love this look! How long of a piece of your worsted weight hemp yarn did you use?
