Crocheted & Altered Cardboard Panel

{Featuring 12-ply bleached Crochet Hemp}

Use a foam brush to apply white gesso to a piece of cardboard. Let dry.

Punch holes along the edges of the cardboard with a crop-a-dial. Draw up Crochet Hemp at upper right corner, chain 1. Single crochet along the edge.

When you get to the upper left corner, chain 1, and single crochet into the same hole, to turn the corner.
Single crochet along all other edges, with an extra chain 1 and extra single crochet at each turn. Fasten off and weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.

Adhere a photo to the bottom of the panel. (I used a photo from my Instagram Feed that I ordered through Kanvess.)

Add doodles and hand-lettering.
Add touches of color with colored markers. (I used these Copic Markers).
