The Stabilo All Marking Pencil feels kind of like a graphite pencil when you first use it. It makes a nice thick, black mark, as shown in the little penciled heart above.

You can use this pencil to make marks on practically anything like paper, glass, plastic, and metal. The other thing about this pencil is that it blends really really nicely with just a bit of water. A wonderful feature when you need a bit of forgiveness when sketching faces or other things.

One thing to keep in mind is that the pencil is water-soluble so once you are happy with the way things look, if you want it to not smudge anymore, you need to spray it with a workable fixative like this one.

Derwent Inktense watersoluble pencils perform much like other watercolor pencils but with greater color intensity. You can use them to mark directly onto paper and then use a brush loaded with water to blend the mark ... like this.
You can rub a wet brush to the tip of the pencil like this ...

and then use the brush to add marks to a paper like this:


You can dip the pencil into water like this ...
and then use that dipped pencil to make a mark onto paper like this.

I love these scissors. It's like cutting with five pairs of scissors in one fell swoop. The blades are sharp and make clean cuts on paper every time. There are some mixed reviews on Amazon by folks who have tried this on fabric. I agre. These scissors don't perform well on fabric. But on paper, they're great. Perfect for all sorts of paper crafting and paper tassel-making.

I've been a fan of the ArtBin 1-Compartment Prism Box for many years. It measures 11.5 x 6.6 x 1.8 inches. ArtBin makes other prixm boxes that is divided into compartments but this one, which has no divisions, is my favorite. I use one to store all my crochet-related tools, and another one to store all of my lettering instruments.
Because they are transparent, I can see quickly what is in the box. The lid opens and shuts easily, and they are easy to transport. I have other ones I use to store certain types of markers and other crafting supplies.

Montana, makers of high-quality art spray paints has released these incredible Acrylic Markers. They are fantastic. They are all water-based and the pump valve system allows the paint to come out of the nib with ease, lots of juice, and very evently. 

Montana also sells the water-based acrylics that can be refilled. For those who dare, the refillable acrylics can be mixed to come up with different colors. Also, the markers come in assorted nib-widths but my favorite is the large 15mm nib. Perfect for art journaling.

The markers can be used on almost any surface including paper, canvas, wood, metal, and glass.

I was recently turned onto these 0.3mm fine-point markers by my buddy Cori Dantini. When I heard that they are made by Staedtler, I knew they'd be terrific. You might remember my review of their Lumocolor pens here. And just like the Lumocolors, the Triplus fineliners have fantastic, bold colors that come out in a super thin line ... and the best thing is that even if you forget to put the cap back on (for days), the pen will not dry out.

This water brush is wonderful to use with watercolors, whether you are in the studio or in a class setting. Simply unscrew the top portion of the brush, fill the barrel with water, and screw the top portion back on. If you want water to come out of the brush, you squeeze the barrel and control how much or how little comes out. When not in use, it won't drip. 

I have other expensive sable watercolor brushes but when they're not available, these water brushes give them a run for their money. The tips are made of nylon and keep their form well and clean up nicely. A super affordable product that you'll want to pick up in both the fine, medium and large point tips.

I am crazy in love with this yarn by Lion Brand Yarns. It is made with a combination of bamboo rayon and cotton and comes in the yummiest colors. I've been crocheting up a storm using these yarns and not only do the yarns feel great in the hands and on the hook, the projects made with the yarns look gorgeous.
